“Never before has the ‘zombie’ been so
memorable, threatening, or fascinating!”
Editor’s Notes

Undead Teenager is very much a story written for
teenagers and young adults of this generation. Between
unrestrained teen angst, video games, cartoons and half-
brained politics, Undead Teenager unleashes a wicked
humor specifically for children of the past twenty years.

Written in raw, first person perspective, the story tells a
gripping tale of survival while following the narrator
during the most awkward and difficult time of anyone’s
life.

"Watching (Zack Welder) struggle to move through
life is both awkward and hilarious; an all-too-real
depiction of growing up."
Undead Teenager takes a great stride beyond the
conventional zombie, introducing a dynamic infection
that spawns unique, memorable mutations. With each
new mutation comes new dangers, strengths and
weaknesses that the survivors must figure out how to
overcome.

Long gone are the days of the overly-recycled zombie.
The rippers really keep the threat of the undead vicious
and alive, offering a much needed breath of fresh air for
the Zombie Genre.
"(Undead Teenager) provides a much needed breath
of fresh air for the Zombie Genre."

The story of the ‘rippers’ are exactly what zombie fans
have been looking for to kick the zombie culture to the
next stage. Now that first infection has occurred, the
image of the zombie has never been fiercer, more
frightening, or more exciting.
"The memorable characters represent today's youth,
struggles, faults, potential and all."

Amidst a fast paced story full of harsh twists and turns,
readers will inevitably find a good laugh following the
all-too-real recklessness, ignorance, and frustrations of
Zack Welder.

Bold and real, Undead Teenager shares a deep and raw
understanding of growing up in a world  that demands
just too much all at once. Lock the  doors and get ready
for a wild ride. These are not  the same old zombies
your parents grew up with.
Zack Welder is a seventeen-year-old with serious anger
management issues. After his parents kick him out of the
house, sending him to the mountains, the last thing he
expects to do is fight for his life as a bizarre viral
outbreak rips across Riverton, a small mountain
community which seems to be hiding a few dark
secrets.

When Zack realizes he has become infected and will
soon join the ranks of the undead, he is faced with
having to ‘grow up’ and develop some real social skills
before Riverton’s survivors discover his secret and turn
on him. As strange mutations occur, it is up to Zack and
the other survivors to discover a way to eliminate the
monsters and stop the nightmare from spreading before
it is too late.

“Zombies, teen angst, modern humor, and brilliantly
developed characters; Undead Teenager has it all!”
